Target has joined Amazon and Walmart in same-day delivery service.....how will homes and buildings without a doorman or staffing adjust to this new instant-gratification? Expect most homes to be equipped with some form of remote controlled access to drop off packages. Will the home vestibule become the new Sub Zero-style must-have?

Recent press has circulated about the thousands of people moving out of certain states: what is as interesting - and maybe not as well broadcast - is how many thousands are moving INTO those states too.....

In a recent article about the perils of the brokerage industry, I found the comment section most interesting. These were some of the comments:
- "As a group, real estate agents have long been regarded as unethical, incompetent, and self-serving. Instead of educating and training themselves to be trusted professionals, they continue to come across as untrained carnival barkers and sideshow hustlers."
- "There are some good ones but it 's hard to find one. It seems that all they care about is a deal to make a commission."
- "You're right, there are a FEW. Very difficult to find a professional one. Unfortunately for the public, buyers and sellers don't know ahead of time what a good one is. They only learn by dealing with one of the MANY bad ones."
In these comments lies our future as a profession.....we have lots of work to do to message EXACTLY what we do that delivers real value and we have to be 100% consistent with quality, ethics and professionalism at Compass. Our industry still has a bad reputation and others are capitalising on it!
